Surfs up!

Who would like to take surf lessons? I went this last Tuesday with Peter Pan from Gansett Juice. We had a blast! With the right wet suit, it wasn’t cold until the end. We managed to stay in the water for 65 minutes.

So let me know who is in and I’ll take it from there. I work weekends till 4, so it would have to be a weekday for now for those who get weekdays off.

Flames of Hope 10.10.09 @ 6

4th annual Flames of Hope. www.gloriagemma.org.

If you haven’t seen this event, it is truly amazing! Watch as 300+ survivors and family members carry torches from the State House to the Waterfire basin. There will be all kinds of events going on; crafts, Brass Attack will be playing as well and a demo & a breaking board (survivors) ceremony from Mastery Martial arts.


Dragonboats

A BIG thanks To Ravi, Flav & Heidi! It was great to have you on my boat. We missed you Nikki! Our 1st heat time was 2:50 and the last was 1:49! Way to go.

This event will happen again....Details to follow down the road. It will be great to see more of you there. Just ask Ravi, Flav & Heidi how much fun it is!

The races are on!

The Blackstone Valley Tourism Council has rescheduled the races! I'm so happy!

I am waiting word to see if we have extra practices. If people are still interested, you must register and submit your payment prior to practice. If you sign up, but have to back out, please have an alternate person lined up.

Come shake your grove thing 7.17.09!

This Friday night, the 17th Santa Mamba will be playing at Waterplace Park in Providence @ 7:30. They are billed as world-beat Latin, jazz, middle-eastern, funk and jazz music. This is a fun band to dance to that offers up a lot of energy.

This would be a great way to spend the evening dancing outside. See you there!

Pawsox tonight

Pawsox vs Charlotte Knights. Game time is 7:05 and there's going to be 50 breast cancer survivors on the field pre game. Tickets are $6.00 and you can get them at either the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation or at the game.

Let's hope the rain gods play nice and dry themselves out.
